Passionate about Portugal, we set out to find a place to settle. Our choice fell on Comporta – Carvalhal, a magical place with magnificent nature, endless beaches, and breathtaking rice fields inhabited by thousands of birds.
A calm and peaceful location, with endless walks on foot or by bicycle, three magnificent golf courses nearby (soon to be four), and miles of sandy beaches.
The climate is particularly pleasant, with 300 days of sunshine per year, a mild winter, and a warm summer tempered by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean. A heat pump is sufficient to keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer. Golf can be played from March through the end of October.
The Portuguese people are genuinely kind and welcoming. They received us with warmth and sincerity, and they have a deep respect for nature.
We have done everything to make our home as welcoming as possible, so that everyone feels at home. We have paid attention to every detail in the pursuit of perfection. We carefully selected the trees: centuries-old olive trees, 20-year-old stone pines, and cork oaks. We have also chosen a variety of artworks.
Sandra and Olivier will welcome you and do their utmost to ensure your comfort:
-Breakfast served on one of the terraces or indoors
-Rooms cleaned daily, except on Sundays
-Heated swimming pool at 26°C, with sun loungers and towels available (bathroom towels may not be used at the pool). You will receive a fresh towel every day
Casa PALOU BAITA is located in the popular location La Colina, on the hill in Carvalhal, in an elevated area at the top of the third dune, offering magnificent views over the sea.
The house is set on an 8,400 m² plot, allowing children to play freely while adults can enjoy the swimming pool or the pétanque court.

The house is composed of:
Main house with 3 bedrooms (2 with terraces), an office, a living and dining room with a large terrace, and a spacious kitchen with its own terrace. A smaller house with 2 bedrooms and a terrace.
An annex with 1 suite, (accommodating 3 to 4 people), an outdoor shower and a terrace.
A staff house with 1 bedroom and a gym.
Four of the seven bedrooms have twin beds that can be configured according to guests’ preferences. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom; two bedrooms feature outdoor showers. All bathrooms are equipped with towel warmers and hairdryers. Each bedroom features Colunex beds quality PALACE and includes slippers, bathrobes, and high-quality embroidered towels.

Bedroom 2 features 1 double bed (1.80 m) and 1 en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 3 features a dressing room, two 90cm twin beds or one double bed, desk and TV, terrace, en-suite bathroom and external shower.
